The Rabbi and the Reverend: A Journey of Faith, Friendship, and Understanding
In a world often divided by religious and political differences, the story of Rabbi Marc Gellman and Reverend James Forbes is a powerful reminder of the power of friendship and understanding. The Rabbi and the Reverend is a book that will inspire you, challenge you, and ultimately leave you with a renewed sense of hope for the future.
Rabbi Gellman and Reverend Forbes are two very different men. Rabbi Gellman is a Reform Jew who grew up in a secular home. Reverend Forbes is a Black Baptist minister who grew up in the segregated South. Despite their different backgrounds, the two men have formed a close friendship that has spanned more than 30 years. They have worked together on social justice issues, they have shared their faith traditions with each other, and they have supported each other through good times and bad.
