Sportswriter Rediscovers Football Family And Bit Of Faith At Minnesota St John
I grew up in a football family. My dad was a high school football coach for over 30 years, and my brother played college football. I played football from the time I was old enough to put on a helmet until I graduated from high school.
When I went off to college, I stopped playing football. I didn't have the same passion for the game that I did when I was younger, and I wanted to focus on my studies.

After college, I got a job as a sportswriter. I covered high school and college football for a local newspaper. I enjoyed my job, but I still missed playing the game.
A few years ago, I was assigned to cover a football game at Minnesota St. John's University. I had never been to St. John's before, but I was impressed by the school and the football team.
The Johnnies were a small team, but they were very talented. They played with a lot of heart and passion. I was immediately drawn to the team and the coaching staff.
After the game, I had a chance to talk to the head coach, Gary Fasching. We talked about football, and we talked about life. I was impressed by Coach Fasching's passion for the game and his commitment to his players.
I started going to St. John's football games regularly. I got to know the players and the coaches better, and I became a part of the Johnnies football family.
Being around the Johnnies football team has rekindled my love for the game. I've also learned a lot about myself and about life.
I've learned that football is more than just a game. It's about teamwork, dedication, and perseverance. I've also learned that it's important to have a strong support system. The Johnnies football family has been there for me through good times and bad.
I've also rediscovered my faith at St. John's. I grew up in a Catholic family, but I drifted away from the church when I was in college. Being around the Johnnies football team has helped me to reconnect with my faith.
The Johnnies are a faith-based team. They pray before every game, and they have a team chaplain. The chaplain is always there for the players, and he helps them to grow in their faith.
Being around the Johnnies football team has helped me to rediscover my faith. I've learned that faith is important in all aspects of life. It gives me strength and hope, and it helps me to be a better person.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Johnnies football family. I've learned so much about myself and about life. I've also rediscovered my love for the game and my faith.
If you're looking for a great place to watch football, I encourage you to come to St. John's. You'll see a team that plays with heart and passion. You'll also see a team that is committed to faith and family.
I'm proud to be a part of the Johnnies football family. It's a family that I will always cherish.
Here's a list of some of the things I've learned from being around the Johnnies football team:
- Football is more than just a game. It's about teamwork, dedication, and perseverance.
- It's important to have a strong support system.
- Faith is important in all aspects of life.
- It's never too late to rediscover your faith.
I hope you'll come out to St. John's and see the Johnnies football team play. You'll be glad you did.
Go Johnnies!
